MESA ALPACAS BRING HOME RIBBONS!
Every
year our young alpacas travel to regional and national shows to compete
for ribbons in halter and fleece classes. Please check this space for
positing of show results.
Alpacas
are shown in classes by gender, age and color. There are two options
for
Showing: halter classes, judging the alpaca in full fleece or shorn,
walking with a handler, or a shorn fleece may be shown and judged by
a certified fleece judge.
In halter
shows, Color and Reserve Color Championships are the highest awards
followed by first through 6th place. In fleece shows the same awards
apply. However,
the judge may award special awards-Judge's Choice for best fleece in
the show,
Best Brightness, Best Crimp or Lock Structure, Best Hand and Best Prepared.
Sunny Mesa
Alpacas, LLC is the fortunate recipient of multiple Color Championship
and Judge's Choice awards. We enjoy showing and consider showing excellent
training for our alpacas and recognition for our quality breeding program.
